His designs are highly prized and this set of 6 demi-tasse cups and saucers with a basket-like pattern, edged in gold and with gold twig-like handles, is a charming example of the brand’s aesthetic. The workmanship and quality of the porcelain are especially fine. See less

There are no cracks, crazing, chips, discoloration or wear marks on the gold on any of the 6 cups and saucers. The age is only estimated. Gold did not appear to be used as a label color from 1882 to 1900. Red then was used until 1941. My beat guess is that the set was made in the late 1950’s or early 1960’s about the time Tiffany introduced its Bamboo pattern flatware. less
