A striking Mid-20th Century two-piece Neoclassical Revival fountain, beautifully detailed and finished in a verdigris patina to emulate the look of aged bronze.
Crafted from cast metal, likely spelter or iron, the fountain features two cherubic figures (putti) nestled within a grand scallop shell backdrop, pouring water from a jug into a central basin below. Elaborate acanthus leaves and classical motifs further enhance the sculptural design.
The fountain separates into two pieces for easier transport and installation, with the upper shell section anchoring securely into the ornate base.
