Stately two piece Secretary writing and storage desk and cabinet from the Biedermeier Era circa 1860's from Southern Germany. Beautifully proportioned architectural elements, pediments, columns, and stepped transitional second base. Golden and ebonized accents. Original key to the lower locks with the smaller top book-matched flamed door missing its smaller lock and key.
In excellent condition commensurate with age. A lovely piece in any historical, transitional or modern space.
