Egidio Casagrande (1911-1962) was an Italian artist who worked in brass and copper. He was born in Borgo Valsugana, Italy. Casagrande made everyday objects, sculptures for public places and worked with major Hollywood films such as Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, and The Fall of the Roman Empire. The sculptural starburst shape is eye catching and features a rolled rim. The gorgeous wood like design adds interest and texture.

The rustic charm of the handcrafted brass has a beautiful aged patina and different grades of coloration. There are small scuffs, scratches, dents and dings.
