Incredible hand-painted 19" ceramic panther statue. This rare and coveted piece would be a great addition to any vintage inspired or maximalist home and the perfect gift for a big cat lover. We estimate it was painted around the 1970s.

- In great vintage condition. The piece is hand-painted so there are some signs of that, most visible in direct sunlight, … moreIn great vintage condition. The piece is hand-painted so there are some signs of that, most visible in direct sunlight, such as visible brush strokes, texture in the eyes, mouth, teeth (which are not glazed but I can add a brush on glaze if you'd like, I haven't done that in case someone wants to repaint the tongue or eyes a different color) and some paint under the chest and behind the tail not completely opaque. This is not very obvious in normal lighting, especially since the glaze reflects so much light it all blends. There are some scratches on the backside, the occasional flea bite (occurs during firing) or teeny tiny chip. The thumb has a line on it and I can't tell if that's from a repair or not. two teeny tiny chips in the paint on one ear of the seated tiger. This is hand-painted and there’s the occasional visible brush stroke in the eyes or mouth. less
