Frank Bogaert is a well known artist born in Tielt, Belgium. This large oil painting on hardboard was painted around 1950. The painting captures the serene beauty of a sunlit hillside dotted with golden hay bales, inviting you to experience the tranquility of rural life. The artist's masterful brushwork brings the landscape to life, with vibrant greens and warm yellows that evoke the essence of a perfect summer day. Each hay bale is meticulously detailed, showcasing the texture and warmth of the natural materials, while the rolling hills create a sense of depth and perspective that draws the viewer in. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply looking to enhance your space, this painting is a timeless piece that will inspire and uplift any room.
Frank Bogaert made his debut in 1969 at the age of 19 with his first exhibition 'What has man done to man?'. His fascination with the human face turned out to be a constant in his work, but later he also combined stilllife’s and landscapes. Some of his works include a series inspired by the poison gas attacks in the First World War and a collection of 304 erotic images of fictional popes on a large painting.
