This is a beautiful example of a vintage Nippon hand-painted dresser dish with a maple leaf backstamp.— a decorative porcelain piece that dates to the late 19th or early 20th century (before 1921), when "Nippon" was used to mark Japanese exports. The piece is highly decorative with raised gold enamel (moriage) and ornate handle, a common trait in Nippon porcelain, adding elegance and a touch of Rococo flair. The Dish prominently features hand-painted yellow and magenta roses, against a serene sky-blue background.
