A 1990 photography by the American photographer Bruce Cratsley (1944-1998). Titled "Radio Days," this black and white photograph depicts a mannequin head next to a vintage radio microphone. Unframed, the photograph is mounted on heavy paper and is signed, dated, and titled to the verso.
Bruce Cratsley was an American photographer that graduated from Swarthmore College in 1966. He worked as a gallerist for 20 years, before becoming a full-time photographer in 1986. In 1988, Cratsley was awarded with a Guggenheim Fellowship. Cratsley followed the LGBTQA+ scene in New York throughout the AIDS epidemic, capturing important cultural events including the New York City LGBT Pride March and the first Wigstock. Today, his works belong in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Harvard Art Library.
