Its shimmering gold particles reflect the secessionist movement in Vienna at the turn of the century. Max Ritter von Spaun and his workers thus proved that they acted artistically and aesthetically at the pulse of the times. In the lower part of the small vase, the irregularly shaped waves of the decoration called Cytisus dominate. The fused silver crumbs seem to float on it like light golden particles. The complex decoration and technically elaborate glass body bear witness to the great mastery of the glassblowers in Klostermühle and show, why the glass manufactory Johann Loetz Witwe was one of the leading producers of precious luxury glass in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
