This is an exquisite sculpted armchair in rosewood, designed by Danish modernist architect Palle Suenson for Jacob Kjaer, it dates from 1948. It was made in Denmark. The chair really showcases the elevated concept. It has elegantly curved arms and cross stretchers that are curved in form that feel very natural. It has been left in the original soft black leather. The chair has beautiful grain and an elegant, organic form. It is intelligent design that makes any room feel special. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
