The romantic landscape sees a river flowing between rocky banks surmounted by leafy trees; on the shore, in the foreground on the left, two fishermen cast their lines into a pool of still water created by a small inlet. The painting bears a label on the frame attributing to Domenico Pecchio (1693 -1760). Restored, it is presented in a period frame. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
