Wondrous Strange. The Wyeth Tradition by Susan C Larsen First Edition 1998 with Dust Jacket
Howard Pyle, N C Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth & James Wyeth. Four generations of the best painters in America. Beautiful color paintings 30 by each artist. Each painting represents their unique style. Mystery, ghostly, battles, shipwrecks and beauty. It also, shows the powerful influence of Pyle’s had on the Three Wyeths. Their dark paintings reminded me of Goya, Delacroix, Sorolla and so many other classics. These painters are the magnificent four of American art!
I bought the book at the Delaware Museum during the Wondrous Strange Exhibit 1998.
