Magnificent Rooster and its Earthenware vase made in France in the 1880s. This majolica composition is both a flower vase and a rooster sculpture.
This stunning piece of earthenware with wonderful details is hand painted with a vibrant palette of red, blue, green, beige and red. Remarkable attitude of the rooster, dramatic and proud, plumed tail and rounded chest. Signed on the base by the artist P. Comolera.
Some damage and cracks but overall good condition for the age of this piece.
Remarkable quality and rare decorative object.
