Its compact size makes it easily transportable. Its compact structure and simple design make it an interesting collector's item complete with two small cylindrical shaped weights resting on the weighing pan. Made mainly of brass, with parts showing signs of wear and oxidation, typical of antique objects. The base appears to be made of black painted metal. The scale consists of a three-legged base, a vertical rod and a horizontal arm with a circular weighing plate. There is a lever mechanism with a graduated semicircular indicator.
