This set of twelve (12) hand colored stipple engravings were pulled from "Portraits of Illustrious Personages of Court of Henry VIII Engraved in Imitation of the Original Drawings of Hans Holbein, in the Collection of his Majesty". They were printed in England in 1812 on flesh (Caucasian) colored and cream handmade "wove "paper (the original drawings by Holbein are also on flesh colored paper).Period hand coloring. Five (5) of the engravings are accompanied by a page of textual description. Great for a HUGE wall treatment or several smaller groupings. Dimensions: 10" x 14".
