Trio of Ancient Chinese Wise Men - Antique Soapstone Carved Figures
This set includes 3 antique soapstone carved figurines of the fabled Chinese 3 wise men, Fu. Lu and Shou that represent happiness, prosperity and longevity.
Each statuette is roughly 6 inches tall and 2 1/3 inches wide.
Collectively they weigh 2 pounds, so a little over 1/2 pound a piece.
Very good condition regarding each one of the statuettes. I could not find any breaks, splits, repairs, gouges or marring. All colors, I believe are natural- both in the soapstone and in the base material ( probably another color of soapstone as soapstone can be gray green - what is most common and what is used for the bodies of the men, but also can be brown or blueish). The base material feels similar to the materials used for the bodies.
