Gorgeous light and color in this diminutive oil on board, signed on recto and mounted on black velvet in a vintage tortoiseshell finish frame with self-easel. The beauty of this painting is hard to capture in photographs. It evokes wonder while exuding peace.
Architectural Digest heralded tortoiseshell as a top design trend for 2025. But this frame, created in the 1960s, is timeless. The frame is almost three pounds and has great heft.
