This Nain rug has a beautiful floral design set in a rich cream field color with a cream border. The design colors in the field include navy blue, French blue, green, red, brown, caramel, and red. The corner spandrels are in French blue with designs cream color designs. The rug has a wool pile with cotton foundation and silk highlights. The vibrancy of the silk is unbelievable. It definitely gives that three-dimensionality to the design. The central medallion is in caramel color with designs in navy blue pale blue, and red with a lot of silk highlights. Truly a gem from the fine workshop weavers in Nain.
