It is hand-painted with a foray of animals and flowers, with 22k. gold applied details, example the Tulips or actual gold, top trim edge trim surround and throughout the designed pattern. A nod to the Egyptian Revival period and theme(s), with the symbolism utilized in this EXTRAORDINARY PIECE.

All hand signed and numbered with the manufacturer's pattern denoted. States, Hand-Painted, Made in France, below this a large, "L," and "C," for Louis Comfort and a number 65, (we do not know exactly what that denotes, and below this in res cursive "Tiffany & Co," and below this the production or pattern number 986. in red and next to this number 176 in blue.
