Discovered in a historic villa near Venice, this extraordinary Murano glass chandelier dates to the early 1970s and reflects the bold creativity of Italy’s golden age of design. According to its provenance, the piece was commissioned for a private music salon, where its flowing glass arms were meant to evoke the movement of orchestral sound and light within the room.
Each of the 12 curved arms was individually hand-blown and hot-worked by Murano artisans, creating elegant sculptural forms that appear almost weightless. The design recalls the refined modernism associated with Paolo Venini, combining exceptional glass clarity with a warm brass-finished structure of remarkable sophistication.
When illuminated, the chandelier transforms into a dramatic architectural centerpiece, casting soft reflections and bringing an unmistakable sense of Italian glamour to the space. Both collectible and timeless, it is perfectly suited for grand entryways, dining rooms, or interiors seeking authentic mid-century character.
