This lovely piece is a 19th century Swedish Farmhouse bench. Crafted from pine, it features elegantly scrolled arms and a gently undulating top rail and back splats. The pine wood has a warm and mellow tone, with a beautiful patina. The bench comes with a new Belgian linen bench cushion with self welt in Unfading Flower from Lauren Servati Textiles.
Lift off the bench seat to reveal a full storage drawer with hand dovetail joinery. The drawer slides out offering plenty of storage space. We think that this Swedish bench would be a charming addition to any home, from an entry bench, to a mudroom or a hallway. Place it somewhere special where your guests can admire its wonderful details.
This bench has been restored and lightly waxed to seal and preserve it's lovely patina. The bench is sturdy and stable and ready to be cherished for the next 150+ years.
