A decoupaged and lacquered metal match book holder, circa mid-late 19th Century, France.
A charming hand-made piece, showing a paper grisalle image of four women in period dress, a boudoir scene, on the front.
Hand painted accents in French blue and black surrounding the image and bordering the yellow ochre holder.
The metal holder has rolled rims and side cutouts for the match strikers.
An unusual little bibelot, measuring 1.5 in. L x .75 in. W x 2.5 in. H
