This ashtray was hand painted in pure gold in Ravenna Italy in the 1950s. The paper tag and gold leaf maker's mark are still in place. Ravenna Italy served as the second capital of the Roman Empire and is known for it structures which include luxurious mosaics. In reference to that history, this ashtray is "Lavorato a mano in oro zecchino", that is "Handcrafted in pure gold". It remains in excellent pre-owned condition. Its measurements are 6" x 5". It has two wells.
