Paul Jacoulet (French, 1902-1960), "La Fille du Chef," woodcut in colors, pencil signed and stamped lower right. Beautiful condition. New matting in original gilded botanical frame.
La Fille du Chef was published September 15, 1953. The English title is The Chief's Daughter, Mogomog. The catalog raisonné by Richard Miles specifies "fewer than 90 impressions" as actually printed edition size. Carver was Maeda, printer Onodera.
