This Really is a Great Looking and Quite Rare & Unusual Antique Ladies Vanity - Hand Mirror. Circa Very Early 1900s. High Quality - Completely Hand Made. It is Rendered in a Wonderful Art Deco Harlequin Clowns and Man on the Moon Design with Excellent Detail in the Heavy Solid Cast Bronze Features. It has No Maker or Other Markings but it is Most Likely French or Possibly Austrian in Origin. It is in Very Good All Original Condition - Displays Nicely. It appears to have had Some Silver Plated Highlights When Made. It has Been Loved and Used Much Over the Years as Some Surface Wear would Indicate. It still Retains its Original Elaborately Hand Beveled Glass Mirror but Note that the Mirrored Finish on the Reverse - Back Side of the Glass ( Mostly Around the Perimeter ) Has some Light "Ghosts" Blemishes - Age Related Oxidation. This is Quite Common with Older Mirrors as Back Then They Used Real Silver and it Tends to Oxidize Etc. with Age.
NOTE - That I Would Strongly Suggest that You Make No Attempt Polish This Piece as it Would Definitely Detract from its Beauty and Detail as Well as Lesson it Value!.
It Measures Overall Approx.
8 5/8 inches Tall.
4 7/8 inches Long.
7/16 inch Wide - Deep.
