Use this colorful antique bidet as a jardiniere or planter! Crafted in France circa 1780, and double-oval or figure-eight form shape, the planter is decorated with blue floral and scroll patterns on a white or light cream background, giving it a classic, traditional look reminiscent of European ceramics, possibly French or Dutch faience. The blue decorative motifs along the rim and the body consist of intricate designs, which repeat around the vessel, creating a balanced and elegant pattern. The planter has a wide mouth and is quite large and would hold multiple plants or could be used as a decorative piece for displaying floral arrangements. The elegant ceramic jardiniere is in fair condition commensurate with age, and adorns soft colors in the Delft blue and white palette. Some cracking on the piece (see detailed images).
