This wonderful footed Wilton meat carving serving platter is a beautiful addition to any collection. Made of high-quality pewter is perfect for serving any meat dish. The beauty of the Wilton Columbia pewter pieces is that the older they get the nicer the patina and you'll never have the silver loss seen on silverplate serving platter trays.

This was a bridal registry gift I received in the early 1970's and has very little use but was always a terrific meat, pork, chicken or turkey serving platter because of the sunken tree limbs leading to the well that held the juices.

A tree-footed platter is a serving tray with a tree-like design that allows meat juices to flow into a well. The branches of the tree collect the juices and prevent spilling.

How they work:
The juices flow from the meat under the branches of the tree
The juices collect in a well at one end of the platter
The platter prevents the juices from spilling

Additionally, the footed bottom keeps the heat from the platter off the surface of your dining room table or buffet area.

It will be carefully wrapped and packaged to prevent damage during transit.
