The Tulu chair emerged as a hallmark of innovative construction and experimentation, it is a stackable chair created in 1968 by Kazuhide Takahama for Dino Gavina’s Simon company.
The Tulu chair exemplifies an early departure from conventional methods; instead of just bending a metal tube to form the chair frame, the slim rod was electric induction-welded and then chrome-plated.
This advancement allowed for tighter curves and the use of multiple welding heads, facilitating the creation of the chair in a single step.
