Handcrafted and hand-painted in striking, bold colors, this Italian Art Deco sculpture is a collector’s item. Signed by Cacciapuoti (see pictures), it originates from Naples, Italy, dating between 1930 and 1935.
Guido Cacciapuoti, coming from a family of 19th-century Neapolitan ceramists, founded the ceramics studio 'Grès arte Cacciapuoti' in Milan in 1931. He was responsible for the manufacture of successful Art Deco porcelain animal figures and female sculptures as sculptor and artistic director. These quickly became sought-after collector’s items.
