This Paul Klee rare vintage 1967 Mid Century Modernist lithograph print " Heroic Fiddling " 1938, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
Paul Klee ( 1879 - 1940 ) the Swiss born artist is attributed to creating some of the most original and colorful paintings of The Twentieth Century. Klee was an educator at the famous Bauhaus School in Germany. His work reflects the styles and ideas of Symbolism, Expressionism, Cubism, as well the simplicity of The Bauhaus designs. Artworks by Klee are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The vintage lithograph print features an artwork image titled " Heroic Fiddling " originally created by Klee in 1938. The print was printed in 1867 in Japan. It is a page from an authentic vintage artists publication. The print plate image is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand on three corners. This print is suitable for framing.
The print plate image measures 7" W X 9 1/2" H, on a page that is 9" W X 12 1/4" H. There is unrelated text on the reverse back side that refers to a different artwork image.
It is in excellent clean vintage condition with very light signs of handling to the page backing. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price.
