The piece boasts an asymmetric … Read more Missoni, Italy, created this gorgeous couture bracelet bangle for its ready-to-wear spring 2014 runway show. The piece boasts an asymmetric oversized shape built with rubber-like material in a coiled by-pass wrap-around design. The transparent, soft plastic band has green fabric embedded inside and green, yellow, and purple paint gel inclusions. The Missoni logo brand is engraved on the side.
About the spring 2014 collection, Vogue said:
"With the explosive crash of waves on rocks, the Missoni show today launched into a meditation on the elements—earth, air, fire, and water. So the classic Missoni chevron was reinterpreted as waves or birds, the way you drew waves or birds when you were a kid. The family name was also reconfigured in a black-and-white and multicolor, semi-African pattern laser-cut out of PVC and applied everywhere as an artful exercise of logomania."
