One of the most iconic images from Piero Fornasetti’s work is the opera singer, Lina Cavalieri. From his ‘Themes and Variations’ (Tema e Variazoni) collection, this decorative plate is numbered #271 and features Lina’s face as two half moons. Highly collectible, this black and white plate is an original item dating back to the 1960s. Signed ‘Fornasetti-Milano, Made in Italy’ on the reverse and manufactured by Arzberg
The “Tema e Variazioni” series is inspired by the mysterious face of soprano Lina Cavalieri, Piero Fornasetti's muse.
This can be used as a wall plate, thanks to the two holes on the back, but also as an ornamental piece for table art.
