Georgia Totto O'Keeffe ( 1887 - 1986 ) is an American Modernist painter. She is best known for her beautiful, engaging poetic paintings of enlarged flowers, New York skyscrapers, and New Mexico landscapes. O'Keffee has been recognized as the " Mother of American Modernism ". Artworks by O'Keeffe are included in the collections of many of the most prestigious museums worldwide.

Extravagantly designed and printed, this beautiful volume provides the first comprehensive view at this pivotal period in O'Keeffe's life and art spanning the years 1916 to 1932. Throughout the 1920's, she moved with ease between the skyscrapers of Manhattan and the pastoral beauty of Upstate New York, deeply inspired by both environments.
