The plates … Read more A very rare set of 14 Minton porcelain plates in the hard to find blue Kings Lilly pattern. The plates carry a blue backstamp, various numerical markings, and some impressed "Mintons" marks that collectively suggest an age of 1891-1902. One of the plates does not have the blue backstamp. This collection includes four 10" dinner plates, and ten 5 1/2" bread and butter plates.

The dinner plates are generally in very good antique condition with wear commensurate with age and use. This includes some loss to the gold elements, light abrasions, etc. The same holds true for six of the bread and butter plates, with perhaps slightly more wear.
Four of the dinner plates have more noticeable issues including one plate that is very discolored and some significant loss to the gold elements along the outer rim of the plates. The backstamps on the dinner plates are blurry and difficult to read. The backstamps on the bread and butter plates are more easily read. We have included a close up photo of the most legible mark.
