The Sung coffee table pays homage to classic Chinese export furniture made for the Western market in the 19th century. Handmade, and beautifully lacquered using traditional techniques, the fine crackle finish is adorned with a spectacular scene of a flock of birds swarming sheaves of wheat, entirely hand-lacquered and painted in brilliant gold. The top sits on elegant curved legs with upturned feet, and an offset open apron all trimmed with gold. Photos do not convey the incredible beauty and presence of this table. This piece will inevitably become a focal point in any fine interior space.
