Masterfully painted with gold pigment added into details of the rooster. Watercolor, ink, gold pigment on silk over paper. Beautifully mounted on silk, paper on back. Bone roller end. Very good condition - some age wear, foxing and staining, one bone roller end is missing, age wear on the top of the silk mount. Can be easily trimmed and framed. Japan, Meiji or Showa Era, c. 1900-1940s.
