These lovely aquamarine dame-jeanne is protected in a wood basket packed with straw, strengthened by two wooden support bands and a metal band at the base, all in excellent condition. The two wire handles with red wooden grips are secure and the demijohn itself is an emerald green, typical of Perrin & Fils Rognonas carboys, with the branding in a dark red strip around the top.
Overall, at around 75 years old these demijohn lamps are in fantastic condition - well preserved and looked after - and a lovely pieces that exemplify traditional French culture that would make a room pop!

These are old crated demijohns. The split wood shows it age but in an alluring French way. One piece on the back near the wire is punctured. One crate shows more straw. I believe something syrupy inside one demijohn has stained the glass to a green color. They’re fantastic and I can see them being fantastic in a lodge or chateaux!
