From the Roaring Forties comes a large and impressive, highly decorative wrought iron "wall tree" (as I call them, "coat rack" is more the standard). It measures 42 inches high, 39 1/2 wide and 9 deep at the top. What a fantastic "statement" at your front door! Too bad you'll have it all covered up with coats, hats, and grocery bags. Such is the fate of fine art...
It's quite heavy and substantial, the ironwork being top-flight. It has a lovely dark green patina (another word for "paint") and it's been rubbed through to reveal the gold underneath (those French, soooo artistic!). That effect comes into play on some of the "rope" ironwork.
Excellent condition! The mirror is moderately compromised, and if you want a perfect one it won't cost much to replace it. I rather like the "Vintage" look of the existing mirror.
Forties French ironwork has a certain "look" and that's how I date this handsome coat rack.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
