A rare collectors item and a classic piece of dutch modernist design: a set of 8 stacking blocks designed by ko verzuu. Ado stands for arbeid door onvolwaardigen, and was founded in 1925. Labour by indigents refers to the limited labour power of the rehabilitating tb patients.
the smallest black block has the remnants of the paper label that would have been in the shape of a tree (the ado mark identifying it as a 1950s production). The 1950s production blocks also have shaped corners to the blocks which were a later development of the design. this piece has an attribution mark,
