A spectacular matched pair of vintage Chinese Export porcelain table lamps in a richly detailed Famille Rose palette. Each faceted ginger jar-form body is beautifully hand-painted with colorful birds, butterflies, flowering branches and lush botanical motifs in vibrant shades of rose, green, blue, yellow and coral. Decorative borders frame the individual painted panels, creating wonderful detail from every angle.
Dating to approximately the 1970s, the porcelain vessels are mounted on dark carved wood hexagonal bases and retain their vintage brass-tone lamp fittings and harps. Their generous scale and exuberant color make them an exceptional choice for a Chinoiserie, Grandmillennial, traditional or eclectic interior. Beautiful flanking a console, buffet or mantel, or used as a statement pair of bedside lamps.
The porcelain presents beautifully with vivid color and no noted cracks or breaks. Please note that one wooden base no longer retains its original feet and has protective pads in their place; see photographs for detail. Shades are not included.
Each measures approximately 10”W x 10”D x 19”H to the top of the porcelain/lamp body as measured for the listing. A striking and increasingly difficult-to-find matched vintage pair.
