Inspired by Christopher Cross‘s song “Think of Laura.” When I looked up the story behind the song, I came across … Read more Inspired by Christopher Cross‘s song “Think of Laura.” When I looked up the story behind the song, I came across a very sad account of a young girl named Laura who lost her life because of a stray bullet fired by a gang member. A photograph I saw of her showed her very pensive. Though this portrait looks nothing like her, I tried to capture her emotion along with the sunburn across her cheeks in an effort to also pay tribute to a life lost way too soon. See less
