Eurolax R1 chaise longue, designed by Charles Zublena (1910-1979) and produced by Les Plastiques Saint-Rémyin 1965. This iconic design, with its flowing wave shape and futuristic look, was developed especially for Club Méditerranée and graced the pools of Club Med resorts for 15 years. This first edition was made in reinforced fibreglass, while later versions were produced in plastic. The design combines functionality and aesthetics: depending on weight shift, the chaise longue can remain stationary or gently rock. Executed in white reinforced fibreglass, measuring h x w x d = 59 x 64 x 166 cm. The chaise longue is marked LP/Club 41 Salabris. This makes it a sought-after collector’s item within the world of designer furniture. This Eurolax R1 is in good vintage condition, with normal signs of use such as minor paint damages and scratches. On the underside, the chaise longue has been professionally repaired in one spot with fibreglass, in accordance with the original method (see photos). This piece has an attribution mark,
