1933-44 Georg Jensen sterling silver compote, Denmark. With designer mark of Johan Rohde (1856-1935), design #242. Hand wrought. Rohde designed it in 1919 & it remained a staple of Jensen work. Hammered & oxidized finishes provide light/dark contrasts, highlighting the open floral stem. Very good condition.
