Born in the Western portion of India in the state of Gujarat, this exquisite hand carved temple sculpture features a smiling woman, depicted both in a frontal position while her legs are carved in profile. Topped with a delicate headdress and wearing nice clothes and jewelry, the woman exudes an undeniable air of serenity, her head slightly tilted to the side.
