An unusual and engaging modern abstract blue stone Shona (Zimbabwe) sculpture. The work is of lepidolite and the stone has been finely worked to produce a work that can be enjoyed from any vantage point. The work is set on a stone base set with a metal pin allowing the sculpture to rotate. The sculpture is signed, Mariga and is a work from a member of the famous Mariga family of Shona sculptures. This is a beautiful and unique work of art.
Measures: 11 3/4" H x 8" W x 6" D (inclusive of base mount). Base measures approximately: 4" x 5 1/2".
