Exceptional. For being a pure silk Quchan, with an exquisitely fine weave. Also for being one of the very few double sided rugs in the world.
This technique is fiendishly difficult to work and requires two weavers with near identical skills and manner of expression to sit opposite each other, either side of the same loom, and weave two distinct patterns using the the same warp and weft threads.
Aesthetically the rug is eclectic by all Quchan standards.
