author francesco londonio (1723-1783) was a milanese painter and engraver, specializing in pastoral scenes with shepherds and animals. Trained in milan and influenced by flemish art, he produced paintings and etchings, characterized by a lively stroke and an intimate, realistic atmosphere. He also worked on frescoes and decorations for churches and palaces. His works are now preserved in collections such as the pinacoteca di brera.
