This elegant and sophisticated pair of vintage Italian wall sconces is crafted from polished, nickel-plated brass. Each sconce features two circular panels of exquisite blue glass, expertly crafted to diffuse a soft, ambient light. The glass panels are held parallel by a central nickel-plated brass structure, which houses the light socket. At the back, a sturdy metal mounting plate allows for secure wall installation, with electrical wiring extending from the rear. These sconces were produced between 1960 and 1965 in an artisan workshop on the outskirts of Milan (Lombardy, Italy), where skilled craftsmen faithfully followed a design inspired by the renowned Veca company, drawing influence from a Fontana Arte concept. Veca is a prestigious Italian brand that has been transforming glass and plastic into functional design elements for decades. Fontana Arte, founded in Milan in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Giò Ponti, is another esteemed Italian company specializing in glasswork and high-end decorative lighting.
