The coffee table features a … Read more A wonderful custom designed faux bamboo coffee table base with huge painted wicker tray top.
The coffee table features a gold leaf faux bamboo base. The base has an unsealed gold leaf finish. Because the leaf was not sealed the finish has a gorgeous patina or age to it. It's sort of the same thing that happens to unlacquered brass over time. The finish has bronze tones with darker smoky tones and gold.
This table would normally come with a glass top. However, I wanted to create a more interesting piece so I added this massive wicker tray. The tray was painted a deep very dark espresso brown color which compliments the aged finish of the base. The tray is extremely heavy, well made and an absolute perfect size for the base. It sits nicely on top and is removable.
Together this makes for a very unusual one of a kind table. See less
