A beautiful emerald-green and yellow Italian Murano art glass vessel, by Flavio Poli, for glassmaking company Seguso Vetri d’Arte, Italian … Read more A beautiful emerald-green and yellow Italian Murano art glass vessel, by Flavio Poli, for glassmaking company Seguso Vetri d’Arte, Italian midcentury modern design period, circa mid-20th century, 1950s, Italy. Poli’s designs are characterized by bold, geometric shapes and vibrant colors as shown here with its triangular factettes (round opening at top), and beautiful hues. Poli achieved this by what is known for as the 'Sommerso' technique, where colors (here, emerald-green and yellow) are layered and encased into clear/transparent glass providing a captivating design of color (and shape.) A beautiful collectable, designer vessel, vase, decorative object, of the Italian midcentury modern design period. Label on side, 'Made in Italy', as shown in second to last image. Very good condition as shown in images with no chips noted.
